The 2021 version of the Bauer 940 Goalie Mask sees some great additions to this goalie mask that is fit for the recreational to mid level goalie who wants comfort and protection as well as great sightlines. The new FiberComp shell is the main upgrade to the 940 line of masks that has more impact resistance than the previous polycarbonate shell used.
With it’s traditional profile fit, the 940 goalie mask offers better vision and more comfortable interior foam setup that fits like a dream.
LINER
Bauer has placed a soft Airflow Liner with VN foams for added comfort and protection. The VN foams tend to disperses impact a bit better than traditional low to mid density memory based foams. The liner also sees added ventilation that helps keep you cool during practice and games.
SHELL
The FiberComp shell of the Bauer 940 mask is stronger than it’s predecessor. The stiffness is greater for a more rigid shell construction.

A standard stainless steel cage that gives you optimal sightlines. The certified cateye version is CSA/HECC approved for all levels of play.
CHIN CUP
A sweet IX foam chin cup sees an adjustable strapping system designed to add a more precise fit on the head.
HARNESS STRAPPING SYSTEM
Bauer’s 5-point harness system is on the 940 mask. This harness gives a more fine tuned fit option that can be adjusted to fit securely on the head while maintaining optimal comfort.
SWEATBAND
The Thermocore sweatband offers added moisture management that will help keep you cool and dry during use.
